Staff in the Village Clerk's Office are not authorized to assist with any matters pertaining to the Village Court. Please directly contact the Village Court.
The primary duties of the Village Clerk involve the making and maintaining copies of all ordinances, resolutions and other papers filed with this office. In addition, the Clerk assists the Board of Trustees, attending all Board meetings and recording the minutes, receiving all communications addressed to the Board, and serving all notices.
The Village Treasurer is responsible for maintaining daily operations in regards to the Village’s finances such as accounts payable, cash receipts, payroll, general finances, and taxes and is responsible for providing the most current information of revenues and expenditures to Village Board of Trustees. It is the Treasurer’s duty to work with the Village Board to create a budget which serves the best interests of the Village.
REGISTRAR OF VITAL STATISTICS (Clerk & Deputy Clerk)
Responsible for the registration of all births and deaths, and the issuance of burial permits within the registration district.
RECORDS MANAGEMENT OFFICER (Clerk & Deputy Clerk)
Responsible for managing the municipality's records management program by coordinating the proper retention and disposition of records throughout the Village of Dannemora.
VILLAGE DEPUTY CLERK-TREASURER
The Deputy works in conjunction with the Village Clerk-Treasurer on all duties above, and steps in when the Clerk-Treasurer is not available to fulfill those duties. Contact regarding questions pertaining to:
