Recreation Programs

​The Village has a Parks and Recreation Department that facilitates activities for all ages of village residents, operating out of the Dannemora Community Center at 40 Emmons Street.  Please see our Facebook pages for details on each of these entities. Links can be found on our Community News page, (click below) or you can call for more information.

Youth Programs:

Ice Skating Rink ~ open skating and hockey during the winter months as weather permits

County Baseball and SoftballMay through July

County Soccer ~ August through October

County Basketball ~ December through February​  (sign up)

LaFontaine Park on Smith Street families are welcome and encouraged to enjoy usage of this park, which is open dawn to dusk year round

Summer Program ~ sports and arts and crafts held July through August

Movie Nights  ~ movie nights are held throughout the year and the dates will announced

Halloween Dance ~ our annual Halloween Dance is offered every October, with music, games, costume contests, and other various Halloween activities

Cookies with Santa ~ held every December in collaboration with the Girl Scouts - crafts, cookies, pictures with Santa, and a gift from Santa

Adult Programs:

Turbo Kick and Zumba Classes ~ weekly classes with donations to Parks and Rec  ~ September through June

Village Game Night ~ held twice a month year round on Thursday with a pot luck dinner

Open Pickleball ~ open to everyone; held Monday and Friday afternoons weekly year round; equipment provided by the Parks and Recreation department

Senior Programs:

Senior Osteo Classes ~ held every Wednesday at 9:00 am in the Senior Center

Walking ~ the Community Center is a great, safe place to walk in any weather - look for our new walking path behind the Community Center this spring!

Senior Nutrition Programs ~ also offer activities throughout the lunchtime hour with a band on the first Wednesday of each month for dancing

Pickleball Rocks! ~ open to everyone; held Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm year round; equipment provided by the Parks and Recreation department
