Village Fest 2024
Our Village Beautification Committee in Dannemora thanks all of the sponsors, donations and love that we received over this weekend. We are all volunteers trying to improve the quality of life in our community! Not all of us are from the Village but we are all connected to creating a safe, respectful, memorable and rich environment! That’s what makes us special!
This year, I’m not going to lie, was a struggle. We have to keep in mind that we are not a team of 100 (but we sure do make up the difference with our people!) scaling down never made us happy but we didn’t want to sacrifice having a fun filled experience. These activities will evolve as we do. The more we have supporting and volunteering the more we can commit to!
Sticking to a goal, mission or vision is more important than the obstacles in front of us! This committee sometimes gets put through the coals because of some people attached to it or stories people create in their mind for dramatic flare. We don’t focus on that, we focus on the people who see the true value and positive outcomes when a community works together to support the people. We need more people on these social media pages spreading those kind of messages. To overcome the dark you need the light to break it away!
Thank you to all the volunteers & committee members who contributed to Village Fest 2024! Your hours dedicated to the event are greatly appreciated by all those who attended! Committee members took time to get prizes, call or visit sponsors and helped guide planning leaders to the finish line! Most of them tagged in this picture!
I need to make a special shout out to our planning team leads for this year- Greyson Allen, Megan Spellman, Leslie Ranger, Rick Couture. Having planning leaders helped divide work and multiple the results! These individuals added more work and time committed to the planning and execution of the event! Thank you for leading and learning with us!
Corey Akin a very special thank you for co leading this committee and stepping in when needed! You are an amazing contributor to this growing love for the village & community! We rely on you to spend so many hours fixing things, connecting us, and delivering the great results from this team! We need more people like you in this world!
